Frank, the betta Luke and I own, had to be moved from his 10-gallon tank (with other fish) to his old, small bowl. One of the other fish, Eyeball, has been attacking him and shredding his fins, so we decided we will have to find Frank a new tank. We'll probably get him a 2-gallon tank and some plants. I feel terrible for Frank. His fins are so damaged, I'm just glad I noticed.
Also, I've been assigned to do my final in Acting with Dan (boo.). And he hasn't been showing up to class. We "picked" a scene yesterday and showed it to Tracy. She said "I dunno. Maybe." So, naturally, Dan freaked out and went to the library without me and found a scene without me. Then, he called me and told me he would bring it tomorrow (today). He didn't show up to class. The scene needed to be approved by today. Tracy told me to call him and say "Thanks a whole fucking lot." Tracy knows I'd been having issues with him. Maybe I'll get out of the having to do the scene with him. My Creative Drama final is supposed to be Tuesday, but my partner has been so sick. She's going back to the hospital tonight. She's had terrible back pains and difficulty breathing. I'm worried for her. :(
As of recently, I have been trying to figure why on earth I am studying theatre. Being in a college, specifically, a university known to have the best theatre program in the region, I should have expected not to be the best performer, but I'm not even getting call backs. Today, my acting professor, Tracy, talked about how she hates how UNC constantly casts the same people over and over, so if you don't get in early, you probably won't get in at all. It's really discouraging to hear that. High school theatre is exactly the same, which is why I never got mixed up in that bull shit. I stuck to community theatre, which, for some reason, looks less impressive on a resume than high school theatre. Whatever. Should I even be teaching this?
What is that saying? Those that can, do. Those that cannot, teach.
